Executive Positions 

Director of Real Estate

Atlantech is currently seeking a Director of Real Estate to manage existing landlord relationships and to target new buildings to deliver fiber and telephone service. The ideal candidate will possess strong relationships within the commercial real estate industry in Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia and will be skilled in working with commercial landlords. By leveraging these new and existing relationships, the Director of Real Estate will team with Atlantech’s seasoned sales professionals to identify new leads for office cabling, Internet and business phone service.

The ideal candidate will be a veteran of the Washington, D.C. real estate market who is looking for a change of pace but still possesses a ‘hunter’ mentality and enjoys the drive for personal success.

Main Responsibilities/Accountabilities

  • Leverage industry relationships to identify and execute new agreements for Atlantech to deliver fiber to new buildings
  • Engage the property managers in Atlantech’s existing lit buildings and strengthen relationships to better serve new and existing tenants
  • Regularly attend industry events for commercial real estate professionals
  • Responsible for updating existing contacts at property management offices
  • Manage pending renewals of building access agreements with a focus on negotiating favorable terms

Required Skills and Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in commercial real estate in the metro DC area.
  • Knowledge of current commercial real estate terminology and practices
  • Strong negotiating skills in executing agreements with commercial property owners
  • Excellent business acumen, revenue forecasting and financial management skills
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Creativity – focused on creating mutually beneficial opportunities
  • Ability to work in a process-driven high demand environment
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Strong project management skills
