Type II SSAE 16 Audit Verifies Atlantech’s Controls

Atlantech Online is Type II SSAE 16 Audited

Atlantech’s Type II SSAE 16 audit report examines the design and operational effectiveness of controls over data center services. The report is current and covers the audit period of March 1, 2012 through February 28, 2013. The next audit is scheduled for February 2014.

Atlantech Online’s facilities are currently Type II SSAE 16 audited. This includes the new Rockville Data Center.

SSAE 16 and its predecessor, SAS 70, are widely recognized audit standards maintained by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

The SSAE audit report allows a service organization to provide independent third party verification regarding the state of internal controls that govern the services provided to its user organizations.

A Type I report describes the service organization’s description of controls at a specific point in time. The more robust Type II report also tests the service organization's controls over a wider period of time.
