The State of Maryland Selects Atlantech Online to Provide High-Speed Internet Access for networkMaryland™

Silver Spring, Maryland, November 18, 2008 — Atlantech Online today announced that it has been selected by the State of Maryland to support the State’s Internet connectivity requirements for networkMaryland™. Under the terms of the multi-year agreement, Atlantech is providing the State high speed Internet access via multiple Gigabit Ethernet (GigE) connections enabling networkMaryland™ to meet the growing Internet traffic demand from the many Maryland agencies that it serves.

networkMaryland™ is the statewide high-speed network for public sector use. The network was created from an initiative to utilize fiber optic cable assets throughout the state to provide affordable, high-speed bandwidth to all areas of the State and to provide a cost savings to the citizens of the State of Maryland. Moving forward, networkMaryland™ will offer WAN connectivity for any public entities within the State by coordinating joint network build-outs, consolidation of services and by providing the necessary information for proper network growth.
